LOVE JOHNNY DEPP.

Haven't blogged in ages, but I'm SO excited for the new Tim Burton movie - Alice in Wonderland - which is set to come out March 5, 2010! The teaser/trailer just came out today, and I have embedded it for you to enjoy!

I love that Helena Bonham Carter is in it too. Ever since seeing her in Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp, I've been interested in movies with her in it! She's a perfect Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter too.

And of course, my loveee Johnny Depp. I've loved all the movies he's done and I find it amazing that he can do so well in so many genres. One of my goals this summer (which I still have 2-3 weeks of...) is to watch Chocolat. Haven't done that yet, but Johnny Depp is SO HOT looking in it.

I'm honestly, very very excited for this movie. The eye candy in terms of set, costumes, makeup is just orgasmic.

Which brings me to another point.

Yesterday night, I went to Grant Park's Movie in the Parks thing with some friends. They were showing an old black and white movie "Duck Soup." I don't know if anyone has seen it before, if you ask me now, I still don't really know what it was about. To be honest, I didn't watch it, we just talked the whole time.

One of the things we discussed was how we are all so spoiled by the movies that come out nowadays. No CGI? No transforming robots? No big explosions? No crazy costumes? Can't hold our attention.

Then again, I watched "Sense and Sensibility," the 1995 adaptation last weekend and LOVED it. No really fancy explosions or anything there, still held my attention though. Then again, I was fascinated to see so many British actors I knew from other movies in it - Hugh Laurie, Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet, SEVERUS SNAPE, Professor UMBRIDGE. And I'm a sucker for those romantic era novel adaptations. "Little Women" is still a favorite of mine. Maybe I should try reading "Sense and Sensibility."
